Dvojica Dudas Brothers pôsobí na umeleckej scéne s menšími prestávkami od roku 2002. Hoci vystupujú v maskách, každý vie, kto sa pod nimi ukrýva. Týmto istým spôsobom pristupujú aj k tvorbe, kde reagujú na všeobecne známe prvky aktuálneho domáceho, ale aj geopolitického diania a svet umenia ako taký.

Aj keď ich tvorba nesie prvky irónie, ktorej sa v nej nevyhnú ani najvyšší svetoví politickí predstavitelia, či ľudia pracujúci vo sfére umenia, nechcú byť cynikmi. Zdanlivo banálne pôsobiace počiny využívajúce jazyk komerčnej a mediálnej reality sú však metaforou pre komplikovanú globalizovanú súčasnosť plnú simulakier, kde dochádza k stieraniu hraníc medzi autentickým a manipulovaným.
Naším zámerom je odprezentovať doterajšiu tvorbu DUDAS BROTHERS.
Prostredníctvom prezentácií vytvoriť celú sériu nových projektov s kľúčovým momentom performance.Tento spôsob práce a tvorby pre nás znamená aj výskum a kreovanie nových projektov. Pripraviť nový blok performance s presahom do videa, textu, audia, a priestorových interaktívnych objektov. V prenesenom význame ide o laboratórium v rámci prezentácií, kde si chceme odskúšať nové projekty. Celá táto séria aktivít sa stane základom pre našu novú samostatnú výstavu.

Juraj Dudáš (1975) je intermediálnym umelcom s výbornými základmi, ktoré dostal na Akademii výtvarních uměni
u prof. Milana Knížáka, či predtým na VŠVU u prof. Ruda Sikoru. Inklinuje k post-konceptu, ktorý implikuje do práce
s textom alebo sa koncept stáva súčasťou performance (zo starších projektov napr. DJ Giorgio, zameraný na autobiografiu na pomedzí fikcie a reality). V posledných rokoch sa zaujíma o monumentálny objekt – architektúru (vytvára priestor v priestore), ktorým vťahuje diváka do deja sprostredkováva mu tak ďalšiu rovinu emócií z výstavy.
Ivan Dudáš (1980) už počas štúdií na bratislavskej VŠVU (prof. R. Sikora, doc. I. Németh a prof. Daniel Fischer)
ako aj na Nothingham Trent University v Anglicku výtvarne reflektoval intermediálne a multimediálne presahy
v súčasnom umení. Jeho doménou je práca s nájdeným filmom, obrazom, zvukom – tzv. found footage. V roku 2012 na Fakulte výtvarných umení AKU v Banskej Bystrici úspešne obhájil doktorandskú dizertačnú prácu u doc. M. Nicza
a bol mu udelený titul Artis Doctor (ArtD.). V súčasnosti sa venuje dekonštrukcii digitálneho obrazu s interaktívnymi presahmi a s možnosťou vstupu diváka do diela. Už niekoľko rokov prednáša na Fakulte masmediálnej komunikácie UCM v Trnave, kde sa paralelne venuje aj vedecko-výskumnej činnosti.

Dudas Brothers / Freedom, Truth, Justice, Solidarity, Citation and Context
Duo Dudas Brothers is active at the contemporary art scene, with minor interruptions, since 2002. Although, they do perform in the masks, everyone knows who is hiding under them. In the same way, they approach to the creation, which responds to well-known elements of the current home affairs as well as to the geopolitical events and the world of art as such.
Although their creation bears elements of irony, which do not escape even the world of highest political leaders, or people in the art sphere, their intention is not to be cynical. Seemingly looking, banal acting achievements, which are using language of commercial and media reality, are however a complicated metaphor for contemporary globalized present time, full of „simulacres „ where there is blurring the lines between authentic and manipulated.
Our aim is to present current creation of DUDAS BROTHERS.
Through the presentations to create a whole series of new projects with a key moment performance.This way of work and formation means for us research and creating of new projects, too. To prepare a new performance block with overlap in video, text, audio, and interactive spatial objects. In a figurative sense, it is a laboratory within presentations, where we want to test new projects. This whole series of activities will form the basis for our new independent exhibition.

Juraj Dudáš (1975) is Intermedia artist, with an excellent foundation received at the Academy of Fine Arts from prof. Milan Knížák, or earlier at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava from prof. Rudo Sikora. He tends to post-concept, which implies to work with text or the concept becomes part of the performance (from earlier project e.g.. DJ Giorgio focused on an autobiography on the border between fiction and reality). In recent years is interested in monumental objects – Architecture (to create space in the space), which draws the viewer into the action and provides him/her with an another layer of emotions from the exhibition.
Ivan Dudáš (1980) already within his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava (prof. R. Sikora, doc. Németh and prof. Daniel Fischer) as well as at the Nottingham Trent University in England has artistically reflected intermedia and multimedia projections in contemporary art. His domain is work with identified film, image, sound – called found footage. In 2012, at the Faculty of Fine Arts AKU in Banska Bystrica AKU successfully defended his doctoral dissertation at doc. M. Nicz and he was awarded the title of Artist Doctor (ArtD.). At present time, he is dedicated to digital video deconstruction with interactive overlays and with the possibility of active including of the spectator into the work. He is for several years lecturing at the Faculty of Mass Media and Communication in Trnava, where in the parallel addressing the scientific-research activities.
