Peter Pisár (1962) patri ku generacii umelcov, ktora nastupovala na scenu na začiatkom 90. rokov. Hoci povodne študoval va VŠVU užitu grafiku, po pade socialistickeho režimu sa naplno zapojil do „vystavneho boomu“, ktory charakterizovali predovšetkym post-konceptualne objekty a inštalacie. Spolu s ďalšimi autormi tejto generacie sa vtedy objavoval na mnohych vyberovych vystavach voľneho umenia aj dizajnu.

Keď Roman Ondak v roku 2000 rozdeľoval ľudi vo svojom okoli na nomadov a antinomadov, Peter Pisar sa jednoznačne zaradil do tej druhej kategorie. A možno prave Pisarov „anti- nomadizmus“ je pričinou jeho vynimočnej vytvarnej stability, ktora mu umožňuje sustredene rozkryvať ďalšie možnosti postkonceptualneho jazyka objektov a inštalacii. V rovnakom, postkonceptualnom duchu, robi Pisar aj počitačovu grafiku, maľbu, kresbu a multimedia. V jeho tvorbe sa opakovane objavuju jednoduche znaky, pracuje s priestorovými vzťahmi, slovami, a ich vyraz často dotvára materiálnym spracovaním, napríklad v koži a dreve. Hra sa s vyznamami slov, tvarovými vlastnosťami písma, ale občas zablúdi aj do oblasti osobnej mytológie.
Výstava s názvom “Po konci sveta ” ukazuje vyber typických Pisarovych diel, kde sa vedľa seba objavuju diela zo začiatku 90. rokov spolu s dielami, ktore vznikaju priamo pre tuto výstavu. Napríklad, staršiu pracu v koži ešte z roku 1992 – napis EFHILT – dopĺňa novy videozaznam z aktualneho zavŕšenia projektu v spolupraci s Janom Gašparovičom. V serii fotografii Peter Pisar predstavuje svojich menovcov. Jeho graficko – dizajnerske vzdelanie sa nezaprie v nápise generovaného zástupného textu – Lorem Ipsum, ktorý nemusi byť len tým, čím vyzera na prvý pohľad. Aktualne dni pred výstavou monitorujú každodenné Pisárove výtvarne záznamy. Dufam, že vzniknú v plnom počte, a že sa nám výstavu podarí otvoriť, hoci vernisaž je naplánovaná niekoľko dní po konci sveta.

Peter Pisar (1962) belongs to the generation of artists, who came on the scene in early 90s. Although he originally studied applied graphic arts at Bratislava´s Academy of Fine Arts and Design, after the fall of the Communist regime he enthusiastically joined “the exhibition boom”, later typical mostly for post-conceptualistic objects and installations. In 2000 Roman Ondák divided people around him into two categories – nomads and anti-nomads. Without any doubts, Peter Pisár classified himself into the second category. It might be Pisár´s “anti-nomadism” causing his unique artistic stability, which allows him to open further possibilities of post-conceptual language of objects and installations. Peter Pisár uses similar post-conceptual approach also to create computer graphics, paintings, drawings and multimedia. His works often include simple signs; he works with interactions and relations in space, with words, often enriching their effect by their materialization, such as in leather and wood. He plays with meaning of words, shape of words; sometimes he even enters the world of personal mythology.
The present exhibition called After the End of the World shows selection of Pisár´s typical works, including works from early 90s side by side with pieces created directly for this exhibition. For example, elder work on leather created in 1992 – the inscription EFHILT – is amended by a new video art recently created in cooperation with Ján Gašparovič. In the collection of photos, Peter Pisár shows his namesakes. By his next work, he reminds us of his graphic-design education showing the written inscription of the filler text Lorem Ipsum, which necessarily does not have to be what it seems to be at the first sight. These days before the exhibition Pisár´s everyday artistic records are monitored. I hope that as many as possible of them are created and that we open the exhibition despite the fact that its opening shall take place several days after the end of the world.
